Your best bet is to look over the timeline of world events and search for books which correspond to them. Most actually have no reference to a date so they just take place at some arbitrary point in time, usually around the time Karl Franz is Emperor.Ībsolutely nothing was published in chronological order, so reading books by release date won't really help. The storylines weave in and out of each other as well. 
The Warhammer timeline spans about 6,000 years and there are hundreds of novels/novellas written by a dozen or more authors. You won't miss anything by reading stuff out of chronological order
